Pre-registration for the 2009 NASC™ is
now closed. A total of 130 players from 20 states and two Canadian
provinces signed up early, an increase of 11% over last year. There are an
additional 58 players who have made a verbal commitment, written, or
emailed that they are coming to the Tournament. Based on this, we expect a
final total of 220 to 230 players.
There are rumors circulating that some events are already full. This is not
true! There are still openings in all events and you can sign up at the
Tournament. If you are planning on attending the tournament, but have not
sent in your registration form, please do not mail it as it will not reach
me in time to process it before I leave for Reno. You can still register
online at www.2009nasc.com
Please help! If you are planning on being at the tournament on Saturday,
October 31, but have not yet registered, please let us know so that we can
be properly prepared for the welcome breakfast. In case you missed this in
the last BoardBits™, a free welcome breakfast, compliments of the Sands and
The Shuffleboard Federation, will take place in the tournament area on the
morning of Saturday, October 31 at 9:00 a.m. Breakfast will include, bacon
and eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, breakfast potatoes, assorted
pastries, juice and coffee. If you plan on coming to the tournament, but
have not yet registered, please either pre-register, or let us know you are
coming so that we can plan accordingly.
If you have been enjoying the "blast from the past", here is the
next "Picture Of The Day", a collection of memorable photos from
the NASC™. Thanks to Ann Harrell, who has posted previous editions on the
newsletters section of her web site, which you can visit by clicking eshuffleboard.com.
